Summary

The objective of the “WE PRODUCE IN GREECΕ” Action is to strengthen the country’s production base and international competitiveness in sectors with a strong export orientation, by reinforcing selected production sectors. It is a targeted intervention aimed, on the one hand, to strengthen the domestic production base in key sectors and, on the other hand, to support and expand the export orientation of Greek businesses. The action is expected to contribute positively to the Greek economy by increasing local production of products with high international demand and improving export performance. At the same time, it aims to strengthen the coverage of domestic demand with Greek products, bolstering the international competitiveness of Greek products.  

Initiatives eligible for funding under the Action:

  1. Modernisation of production: Investments in modern machinery and production equipment to increase production capacity and improve efficiency.
  2. Technological upgrading: Adoption of advanced technologies, automation and digital systems (Industry 4.0, IoT, etc.) in the production processto reduce costs and improve product quality.
  3. Certifications and quality: Acquisition of quality certifications and compliance of products with international standards (labels, accreditations), ensuring that products meet the requirements of both domestic and international markets.
  4. Design and branding: Product redesign, improvement of design/packaging and development of branding to enhance added value and market appeal in international markets.
  5. Enhancement of human resources: Coverage of the wage costs of specialised personnel contributing to the upgrading of production capacity and the achievement of the enterprise’s strategic objectives.
