Enhancement of investment plans for existing large enterprises to promote renewable energy production, renewable hydrogen and high-efficiency cogeneration in the regions covered by the Territorial Just Transition Plans of Western Macedonia & Megalopolis

Summary

Capitalising on the EU's new Just Transition Mechanism (JTM), this action supports investment plans of existing large enterprises to be implemented in the regions covered by the Territorial Just Transition Development Plans (TJTP) of Western Macedonia and Megalopolis. The aim is to promote renewable energy production, renewable hydrogen, and high-efficiency cogeneration, ultimately addressing the social, labour, economic, and environmental impacts of the lignite phase-out, steering towards a climate-neutral economy and balanced and sustainable development.
