Promotion of wines in third countries (Intervention P2-58.5)

Summary

Intervention P2-58.5 “Promotion of wines in third countries” pertains to the promotion of wines with a Protected Designation of Origin (PDO), a Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) and/or wines with an indication of the wine grape variety (varietal wines), including organic wines in the above categories, in third countries.
Sectoral objectives are:

  1. opening up new third-country markets for Greek wines; 
  2. penetration of new third-country markets for which there are export opportunities; 
  3. improving the image of Greek wines by providing information on their diversity and special qualities, and strengthening their competitiveness against third-country products; 
  4. repositioning of Greek wines in higher market segments, especially segments with higher purchasing power;
  5. increasing the average price per litre of exported wines; and f) increasing exports, in terms of volume and value, of Greek wines to the selected target countries.
